VRC utilizes mentors to assist veterans with their transition to civilian life. As a mentor, you have an opportunity to offer
your professional experience in a practical way for the benefit of the veterans. Mentors are not professional advisors, merely
a practical resource for those seeking to find answers about a chosen career or profession. By sharing your own expertise
and experience, your useful advice can assist veterans with transitioning to a profession or trade of thier choice
and help them develop their careers.

What does a Mentor do?
As
a Mentor you would be expected to provide career guidance, as well as assistance with resume development, interview practice,
job placement, possible business ownership, education and networking. The relationship between a Mentor and a veteran is intended
to be a longer term relationship designed to help the veteran secure and excel in a career of their choice.
Veterans Resource Central has prepared a free guide which outlines the responsibilities of a mentor.
